Located near Seattle, WA with a hybrid schedule, this Senior Structural Analysis Engineer opportunity supports newly awarded programs and rapid delivery timelines.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Structural Analysis Engineer position include:
- 6+ years performing structural analysis on spacecraft or launch vehicle structures/components.
- Build and maintain component, subassembly, and satellite-level finite element models (FEMs).
- Perform static, modal, and vibration analyses to generate predictions for forces, stresses, deflections, and vibration responses.
- Develop and execute structural test plans and procedures for vibration, shock, and static loads.
- Create and maintain structural analysis software tools; use Excel, MATLAB, and/or Python preferred for analysis/test processing.
- Use NASTRAN and Femap/Patran pre-/post-processors to support analysis and verification.
- Document design, analysis, and test results in technical reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with satellite operators and launch service providers to ensure design compatibility with launch loads and produce verification artifacts.
Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
