Description
Bring your engineering expertise to high-visibility aerospace and customer-installation programs where your designs move from concept through certification, manufacturing release, and production launch. This Senior Mechanical Engineer opportunity offers a hands-on, program-owning role with direct customer interaction and meaningful impact across legacy and new products, including work aligned to FAA and military certification expectations.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Mechanical Engineer position include:
- Five or more years of mechanical product-design experience, with strong hands-on work that includes sheet metal and plastic molded-component design
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required
- 3+ years of SolidWorks 3D modeling experience preferred
- Experience creating mechanical designs, 3D models, and technical documentation (proposals, certification documents, installation instructions, and work-process documentation)
- Experience designing to aerospace DO-160 or equivalent MIL-STD-461 certification requirements preferred
- Proven ability to lead independent product design, project organization, and program management from concept through production launch
- Field-engineering experience and readiness to travel worldwide approximately 10%–30% with reasonable notice
- Must be eligible for required U.S. government authorizations under ITAR and EAR export regulations and be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds
Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: Anthem medical plans; select plans include an HSA with employer contributions; 401(k) match of 50% of employee contributions up to 6% of eligible pay (maximum employer match of 3%); discretionary annual employer contribution of up to 3% of eligible wages.
