Senior Electrical Design Engineer (P.E.) opportunity located in Sioux Falls, SD, offering the chance to join a growing consulting firm serving agricultural and industrial clients across grain, feed, fertilizer, chemical, and fuel markets. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Professional Engineer to help design critical systems that support industries working to feed and fuel the world, while collaborating with top industry professionals in a service-focused, purpose-driven team environment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Electrical Design Engineer (P.E) position include:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering required, with 12–15 years of experience in the agricultural and industrial sectors.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- Provide electrical engineering design services including power distribution, grounding and underground systems, lighting, motor controls and automation, and data system design.
- Develop AutoCAD and Revit drawings with support from internal designers and drafters.
- Develop motor and field instrument schedules based on PFDs and P&IDs.
- Perform arc flash and coordination studies for electrical distribution systems using SKM or ETAP.
- Serve as company liaison to existing clients while helping ensure project designs are delivered on time and within budget.
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and the National Electrical Code required; must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Salary: $160,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including health insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield with an employer contribution capped at approximately $1,500 to $2,000 per month toward the tier of choice for individual or family coverage, 401(k) with a 3% match, $50 per month cell phone allowance, flexible vacation open to 3–4 weeks, paid continuing education, and bonuses paid twice a year in June and December based on company success.
