This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Project Architect to join a collaborative and tight-knit team based in San Rafael, CA (Marin County). Known for solving complex design problems with practical, budget-conscious solutions, this firm is deeply rooted in multifamily housing—particularly affordable and rehabilitation projects. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Registered Project Architect position include:
- Licensed Architect preferred (California strongly preferred); open to exceptional unlicensed candidates with strong experience
- 12–15+ years of experience in architecture, with a strong background in multifamily housing
- Experience with affordable housing, rehab, or renovation projects is a major plus
- Comfortable managing staff, leading client relationships, and overseeing job sites
- Hybrid work model: 2+ days in-office, weekly or bi-weekly site visits, remainder from home
- Strong technical understanding of design implementation and budget constraints
- Proficiency in CAD helpful, but high-level production not required; management-focused role
- Due diligence or property assessment experience is a plus but not required
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
