This Mechanical Quality Specialist role helps ensure shop-built modules are ready to perform in the field—making a direct impact on schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Mechanical Quality Specialist position include:
- 5+ years of experience installing mechanical systems, equipment skids, and industrial piping assemblies.
- Verify assembly of pumps, valves, piping, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment against engineering drawings.
- Identify and address constructability risks before shipment (piping interference, bolt access, serviceability, clearance conflicts, equipment orientation, installation sequencing).
- Confirm proper installation and alignment of mechanical equipment and piping systems.
- Collaborate with fabrication, welding, and electrical teams to resolve constructability issues during assembly.
- Support inspection activities and maintain quality documentation and turnover records for completed assemblies.
- Contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring field installation issues.
- Participate in final shipment readiness reviews to verify modules meet quality and constructability requirements before release.
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
