Bring your technical leadership to a Mesa, Arizona manufacturer where architectural metal envelope systems are built to perform and designed to stand out. This Manager of Technical Services role offers the chance to guide design review, testing coordination, and standards that help deliver durable, resource-efficient solutions for complex building envelopes.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Manager of Technical Services position include:
- Hands-on experience leading technical design review, product testing, and analysis for metal building envelope systems.
- Experience designing metal roof and wall assemblies with review capability for technical integrity, durability, and resource efficiency (ACM, MCM, plate, rainscreens, etc. a plus).
- Light gauge sheet metal experience is essential; experience with other metals is a plus.
- Ability to coordinate testing and audit programs, including coordination of field and factory visits and record keeping (UL, FM).
- Hands-on supervision of a team of CAD technicians/draftsmen, including release of materials for fabrication.
- Strong R&D mindset with experience developing new products and improving existing product lines.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and industry software for wind and snow load calculations.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills, including standards management across departments and resolution of unresolved technical issues.
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: Three BCBS medical plans, dental, vision, HSA employer contributions, FSA option, employer-paid long-term disability and $15K life insurance, 40 sick hours, and 9+ paid holidays. Medical premiums are deducted pre-tax biweekly; employer-paid percentage is not confirmed. 401(k): Traditional and Roth options through Empower; up to 4% immediately vested employer match after six months. PTO: Prorated during the hire year; 5 days the following calendar year, 10 days after one year, and 15 days upon reaching five years; use-it-or-lose-it.
