In this Construction Survey Crew Chief opportunity, you’ll oversee construction stakeouts, boundary and topographical work, and 3D laser scanning while supporting a team that invests in training and certification.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Construction Survey Crew Chief position include:
- 5+ years of surveying experience in a managerial or leadership role, with local construction experience required.
- Supervise and lead survey crews, managing field operations including construction stakeouts, topographical surveys, boundary analysis, and as-built surveys.
- Use advanced surveying equipment such as Trimble/Leica/Spectre robotic total stations, GPS RTK units, 3D laser scanners, and data collectors.
- Complete field calculations, sketches, and ensure accurate data download and processing.
- Maintain safety protocols and properly maintain surveying equipment and vehicles.
- Mentor instrument operators and field crew members to keep work productive and on schedule.
- Serve as the main point of contact on-site for clients, providing regular project updates.
- Work flexible hours, including overtime and occasional overnight travel as needed.
Salary: $30–$35+ per hour, depending on experience.
