Qualifications and responsibilities for this Commercial Estimator position include:
- 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and plan/document reviews across civil, structural, and architectural drawings
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates using historical data, current market pricing, and vendor quotes
- Manage and coordinate bid development from solicitation through submission, including subcontractor and vendor coordination
- Solicit, qualify, and level subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure complete and comparable scope coverage
- Analyze and negotiate subcontract terms per company policies while utilizing company forms
- Ensure estimates account for applicable bonding, wage determinations, and other federal or public contracting requirements (federal familiarity is a plus)
- Support a clean handoff to project management, including budget, scope clarifications, and pricing support for change orders
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year, firm cap around $90,000.
Benefits: 100% employer-paid BCBS health and vision, two weeks accrued PTO, and a 401(k) after one year with 100% match on the first 3% and 50% on next 2%; no current bonus.
