Bring your engineering expertise to a fast-growing precast concrete manufacturer in Seffner, FL, where your work directly impacts product performance, approvals, and real-world construction outcomes. This Director of Civil Engineering opportunity plays a critical role as the facility’s Engineer of Record, leading technical design, documentation, regulatory compliance, and customer-focused support across the operation.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Director of Civil Engineering position include:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in precast concrete, concrete products, structural building products, or a related field
- Active Florida Professional Engineer license and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
- Prepare and sign structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical submissions for concrete or other structural building products
- Serve as the facility’s Engineer of Record; approve structural capabilities of precast concrete products and fabricated rebar
- Oversee product design, technical documentation, installation details, and building-code matters
- Maintain Florida Product Approvals and Miami-Dade County Notices of Acceptance, including testing, submissions, revisions, and renewals
- Provide technical support to customers, architects, engineers, building officials, sales, manufacturing, and quality teams
- Lead environmental and regulatory compliance efforts, including permits, monitoring, inspections, reporting, and corrective actions
Salary: $170,000-$200,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
