Description
Build your future with a multidisciplinary engineering and surveying team making an impact across land development and infrastructure projects in coastal South Carolina. This Survey Crew Chief opportunity is based in the Hilton Head Island, SC area, with work supported across nearby locations and a focus on hands-on, outdoor field surveying.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Survey Crew Chief position include:
- 5+ years of successful, reliable surveying experience, including construction stakeout, topo/planimetric, boundary, and as-built work
- Diligently perform all phases of field surveying while using robotic total stations, data collectors, auto-levels, GPS units, wireless communication products, and 3D laser scanners
- Conduct field calculations and sketches; download and check data while maintaining accountability for survey document accuracy
- Maintain and secure company equipment and vehicles, ensuring proper safety precautions during setup
- Self-organize when working alone and supervise/motivate instrument operators when assigned
- Represent the company professionally with customers in the field
- Maintain highly proficient field coding for field-to-finish auto linework
- Hold a valid driver’s license and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk 8+ hours/day
Salary: $48,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience.
