Description
Bring your surveying expertise to a mission-driven engineering team working on transportation and water infrastructure projects across Illinois. This Land Surveyor opportunity is based in Breese, IL and supports both design and legal/boundary work that keeps critical projects moving forward.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Land Surveyor position include:
- Experience designing surveys for infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, drainage, water, wastewater, and sitework/grading), plus legal/boundary surveys and preparation of plats, R.O.W. documents, and easements.
- Bachelor of Science in Land Surveying or a related science with at least 24 hours of land surveying courses from an accredited program.
- Illinois Professional Land Surveyor license, or the ability to obtain within 1 year (PLS preferred).
- Experience with OpenRoads Designer and/or Civil 3D.
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS.
- Drone experience or a pilot’s license is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; self-motivated with attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: ESOP, MDV (100% paid for, 80% for family), 401k with traditional or Roth options, term life insurance, short- and long-term disability, PTO based on experience (up to 25 days per year), and 8 paid holidays. Profit sharing is also available, typically 5%-8% of salary (with additional potential based on performance).
