In this Machine Shop Foreman opportunity, you’ll help drive day-to-day production, keep equipment performing at its best, and mentor the people who make specialty machining happen.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Machine Shop Foreman position include:
- 5+ years of supervision experience; skilled CNC machining with mills, drills, and lathes; skilled manual machining with lathes, drill presses, and mills for small to large equipment.
- Metal job shop experience and ability to read machining blueprints.
- Ability to program machines using BobCad and similar CNC programming software.
- Oversees operators, machinists, and programmers; manages daily production, workflow priorities, tooling, training, machine performance, and production troubleshooting.
- Consult with machinists to ensure projects are completed on time and quality is being met.
- Ensure machines are running and maintained properly; troubleshoot and resolve production issues or equipment malfunctions.
- Recommend, specify and requisition tooling for machining disciplines; assist in quoting for programming, machining time estimates, and tooling needed.
- Perform all duties safely and efficiently; collaborate with other departments to optimize production and improve efficiency.
Salary: $35+/hour; exact rate based on experience and qualifications.
