Description
Step into high-ownership land development work in Brambleton, Loudoun County, where your expertise directly shapes projects from design and entitlement through permitting, construction, and proffer/bond closeout. This Civil Engineer opportunity offers a fast-paced, on-site role with regular field visits and the chance to coordinate across civil teams, public agencies, and contractors.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Civil Engineer position include:
- 7+ years overseeing land development projects for commercial, residential, and mixed-use construction
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Virginia PE license (or ability to obtain VA reciprocity within 6 months)
- Experience managing projects through design, entitlement, permitting, construction, and bond/proffer release
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and amend construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Experience using construction management/scheduling tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, or Primavera
- Develop, monitor, and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and public agencies to maintain compliance and keep projects on track
- Oversee site plan development, grading, stormwater management, and utility/infrastructure design coordination
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
