This Concrete Construction Supervisor opportunity in New London, IA gives you the chance to lead crews, manage jobsite execution, and help ensure concrete work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Concrete Construction Supervisor position include:
- 5-10 years in concrete construction with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Previous construction management experience is a must.
- Proficiency in reading complex blueprints, grade checking, and understanding mix designs (PSI, slump, admixtures).
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Coordinate scheduling of labor, equipment (pumps, screeds, trucks), and material deliveries across multiple job sites.
- Direct crew leads for on-site efficiency, monitor labor hour reporting, and communicate daily expectations and project timelines.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on concrete layout and finishing techniques, and train crews on proper methods and blueprint reading/grading/elevations.
- Ensure safety compliance, resolve site-level disputes, and complete daily documentation and inspection steps before and after pours.
Salary: $75,000+ per year, commensurate with experience. Performance-based bonus based on safety, equipment maintenance, repairs, and overall company profitability.
Benefits: UnitedHealthcare medical insurance, with the employer covering 50% of the premium for employees and eligible dependents (depending on the selected plan), a 401(k) with a company match of up to 3%, and PTO that accrues to two weeks after one year of employment, with additional PTO being negotiable based on experience.
