In this Civil/Structural Engineer opportunity, you’ll help design the structural backbone of modular skid and enclosure products, with a culture that stays busy, grows talent, and provides access to leadership. Based in Bossier City, LA (near Shreveport), this role offers room to own work packages from concept through detailed design.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Civil/Structural Engineer position include:
- 2-5 years of civil/structural design experience in manufacturing, industrial, modular, or related environments.
- Perform structural analysis and design for steel members, welded/bolted connections, platforms, modular frames, and equipment supports; evaluate wind, seismic, snow, thermal, transportation, and handling loads.
- Design modular framing, skids, sub-bases, floor systems, roof structures, and enclosure reinforcements; evaluate behavior under multi-load conditions including shipping and vibration.
- Develop foundation concepts (concrete pads, piers, slabs), anchor bolt layouts, and embedment requirements; coordinate geotechnical/site constraints and leveling/mounting needs.
- Create and review structural drawings, fabrication details, BOMs, and layout plans, including welding symbols, connection details, dimensioning schemes, and tolerance callouts.
- Apply building codes and standards including IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI; understand code interactions for essential facilities, telecom shelters, and utility structures.
- Use tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor or similar, and structural analysis software (STAAD, RISA, SAP2000) is beneficial.
- Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams; support constructability reviews, fabrication/inspection questions, and lifting/rigging design requirements.
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
