Description
A fast-growing advanced imaging technology company in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Lead Engineer / Project Engineer to drive high-performance electrical engineering projects in a 100% in-office role. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge IR camera systems with a collaborative engineering team recognized for decades of innovation across x-ray to SWIR imaging technologies.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Lead Engineer / Project Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required
- 10–15 years of electrical engineering experience in a fast-paced, high-demand technical environment
- Strong PCB design, circuit schematic, FPGA/SoC, and VHDL experience required
- Lead technical design and development of electronic systems, including PCB layout, FPGA architectures, and embedded software
- Develop project schedules, define scopes, manage resources, and track timelines, costs, and deliverables
- Direct troubleshooting, testing, root-cause analysis, and design improvements for complex electronic systems
- Prepare technical reports, BOMs, project status updates, documentation, and user manuals
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with no dual citizenship, eligible to pass a background check, and able to work onsite in Colorado Springs
Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including 401(k) with 3% match, medical, dental, and vision insurance, approximately 80% employer-paid healthcare premiums, a 9/80 schedule with 9-hour days Monday through Thursday, and every other Friday off.
