This Senior Mechanical Design Engineer opportunity in Lincoln, AL is with an innovative, fast-growing transportation logistics manufacturer specializing in advanced vehicle transport systems and custom mobility solutions. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Mechanical Design Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required, with 5–10 years of relevant mechanical engineering or manufacturing design experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD and familiarity with SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, CATIA, or similar design software.
- Strong background in mechanical system design, CAD/PLM systems, technical documentation, and product development support.
- Automotive, transportation equipment, trailer, car hauler, vehicle frame, high-strength steel, or aluminum fabrication experience strongly preferred.
- Support and improve existing mechanical systems while contributing to future new product development projects.
- Apply APQP processes including DFMEA, MSA, control plans, feasibility studies, and related quality procedures.
- Create and maintain bills of materials, assembly drawings, detailed drawings, technical specifications, and design documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, purchasing, supply chain, after-sales service, suppliers, and customers.
Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
