An exciting opportunity is available for a Consultant Automations Controls Engineer with deep Siemens and Honeywell experience to support a critical short-term industrial controls migration project. This role is ideal for a seasoned controls professional who can jump in quickly, work independently, and help transition Siemens PLC logic into Honeywell Experion DCS programming for a high-impact automation initiative.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Consultant Automations Controls Engineer position include:
- Proven experience with Siemens S7 PLC programming using ladder logic.
- Strong hands-on experience with Honeywell Experion DCS systems.
- Expertise in function block diagram programming, code review, and optimization.
- Support migration efforts from Siemens PLC systems to Honeywell DCS platforms.
- Interpret specifications and legacy code to build, modify, and optimize control logic.
- Review internal team code and provide technical feedback, best practices, and programming guidance.
- Clearly communicate programming approach, logic structure, and process methodology during virtual meetings.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, project-based environment with flexible availability for early or late meetings as needed.
Salary: $80 - $100 per hour, commensurate with experience.
