Qualifications and responsibilities for this HVAC Technician position include:

  • 1–2 years of experience working with residential HVAC systems; perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications for heating and cooling equipment.
  • EPA certification (or ability to obtain once hired); inspect and service furnaces, water heaters, dryers, stoves, and other fuel-burning or electric appliances.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems; diagnose and repair issues efficiently.
  • Ability to use professional HVAC tools including combustion analyzers, refrigeration gauges, leak detectors, and multi-meters.
  • Experience installing and removing residential HVAC systems; ensure work meets manufacturer specifications and program requirements.
  • Ability to follow work orders and maintain accurate documentation and electronic records.
  • Strong customer interaction skills; explain repairs, maintenance needs, and project scope to homeowners.
  • Ability to maintain tools, truck inventory, and a clean, safe jobsite while working both independently and within a team environment.

Salary: $20 - $28 per hour, commensurate with experience.
