Are you a seasoned Vice President of Operations with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering? If so, a pivotal role awaits you in a 100+ year company known for its premier name in the woodcutting machinery space. Located outside Greensboro in Browns Summit, NC, this role comes during a transitional period, as the company seeks to integrate and innovate under new ownership. With a 60-40 split between management and design and a manufacturing background in custom wood cutting machinery, this is an excellent opportunity to lead and influence in a well-established yet evolving environment.
Qualifications and Responsibilities for this VP of Operations Include:
- Lead and optimize the Machining, Assembly, Installation, Quality, Procurement, and Logistics Teams.
- Develop new methods and procedures to reduce waste and excess costs using Lean Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing Techniques.
- Manage inventory levels and oversee facility and equipment maintenance.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and develop department objectives that align with the company’s financial and strategic plans.
- Practices positive employee relations and serves as a key communications facilitator, trainer, coach, and counselor for the operation
Salary: $150,000 - $170,000 per year, with up to 20% bonus of salary based on company and individual performance.
