Qualifications and responsibilities for this Structural Steel Estimator position include:
- 3–5+ years of experience estimating structural steel and/or miscellaneous metals
- Proficiency with Bluebeam; experience with Tekla, StruMIS, or FabSuite is a plus
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, shop labor, material pricing, and erection logistics
- Perform take-offs from architectural and structural drawings
- Prepare complete and accurate material, labor, and subcontractor cost estimates
- Analyze drawings, RFIs, and specs to develop competitive and thorough bids
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for accurate quoting
- Work directly with ownership to strategize bids and transition awarded work to project teams
Salary: $75,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
