Structural Design Engineer, PE is a great opportunity in the Dallas, TX sales office, supporting and designing alongside the Grapeland, TX team.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Structural Engineer, PE position include:
- Mid-level structural engineering experience with commercial steel design required (joist background is a plus).
- Civil engineering degree required; PE required (Texas PE preferred).
- AutoCAD proficiency required; RISA or comparable structural software preferred (SolidWorks also mentioned).
- Design steel project work including connections and load calculations, ensuring structural design requirements are met.
- Review structural drawings, architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Prepare, review, and support structural calculations, including projects requiring sealed calculations.
- Provide technical support to detailing, production, sales, and shop personnel throughout project development.
- Communicate effectively with customers, architects, engineers, and internal teams; travel to Grapeland for collaboration and training.
Salary: $115,000+ per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: 3 weeks vacation, ROA bonus up to 33.5% with historical average around 27%, profit sharing bonus, and an employee stock purchase program.
