Qualifications and responsibilities for this Structural Designer position include:
- ~5+ years of structural engineering experience; independently develop full structural drawings from architectural plans
- Strong knowledge of residential structural systems; design beams, load paths, and foundation systems (deep vs. shallow)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; produce accurate, construction-ready drawings using provided templates
- Experience with concrete design and reinforcement; ensure proper steel and member sizing
- Ability to work with minimal supervision; execute projects with few questions using established standards
- Familiarity with structural calculations software; apply engineering judgment to complete designs
- EIT preferred but not required; no PE license required for this role
- Strong attention to detail; deliver consistent, high-quality production work in a remote environment
Salary: $20 - $45 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including flexible remote work from any location, consistent workload with approximately 40 hours per week available, alignment with standard business hours across time zones, and access to an AutoCAD license if needed.
