Qualifications and responsibilities for this Structural Bridge Engineer – PE/SE position include:

  • PE and/or SE License in Illinois (Highly Preferred) – Provide structural engineering expertise and responsible charge on bridge and transportation structure projects
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural focus required) – Apply advanced structural principles to complex bridge and infrastructure design
  • 5–10+ years of structural bridge design experience – Lead projects from inspection and analysis through final design and construction support
  • Experience with IDOT, Illinois Tollway, AASHTO, AREMA, and related codes – Ensure designs meet agency standards and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software and hand calculations – Perform and verify structural analysis and design calculations
  • Experience with MicroStation (Bentley 3D/OpenBridge a plus) – Develop and QC construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Bridge inspection, load rating, and condition assessment experience – Prepare reports, develop repair recommendations, and estimate construction costs
  • Leadership and coordination skills – Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with roadway, geotechnical, hydraulics, and construction teams

Salary: $125,000 - $175,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
