Qualifications and responsibilities for this Sr. Mechanical Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
- 10+ years of progressive, hands-on mechanical design experience in heavy machinery, custom welded equipment, marine systems, oil & gas equipment, industrial machinery, automation, or similar industries.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for mechanical systems, heavy machinery, and custom welded equipment designs.
- Lead projects from concept through production, including 3D modeling, manufacturing drawing packages, structural FEA, and vibration analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks/Simulation preferred, with Inventor, Creo, or NX as a plus, along with PLM software experience.
- Perform and review engineering calculations, apply GD&T, mechanics of materials, and relevant codes and standards, with PE licensure required or EIT considered if close to PE.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, delegate effectively, coordinate with clients and vendors, and help keep projects on scope and schedule.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers while contributing to a collaborative, highly skilled technical team.
Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
