Qualifications and responsibilities for this Refrigeration HVAC/R Technician position include:
- EPA 608 Certification required; install, service, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Minimum 5+ years of HVAC/R or refrigeration experience; diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Journeyman HVAC License strongly preferred; perform advanced repairs and provide technical expertise in the field.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills; identify issues with compressors, motors, thermostats, and control systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and refrigerant handling; recharge systems and maintain EPA compliance.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals; ensure proper installation and repairs.
- Strong communication and customer service skills; interact with commercial clients and provide professional recommendations.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; operate a company vehicle and travel throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Salary: $30 - $60 per hour, commensurate with experience.
