Build your future with a hands-on manufacturing team in Odessa, TX, where teamwork and practical problem-solving make a real difference every day. This Quality Control Inspector opportunity supports quality across production while partnering closely with a Quality Control Manager in Sunnyvale.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Quality Control Inspector position include:
- 1-3 years of manufacturing quality control required; 3-5 years preferred, with hands-on inspection experience including NDE/NDT, hydro testing, welding, machining, WPS, and pressure vessels.
- Conduct in-process and final testing/inspections on materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Perform visual, dimensional, and NDE/NDT inspection (UT, MT, PT, RT) and use gauges, calipers, and micrometers to measure product dimensions.
- Compare produced goods to blueprints/drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Identify and report product defects and deviations, recommending and assisting with corrective actions.
- Maintain and calibrate measurement equipment and maintain records of inspection/test data.
- Utilize an ERP system and communicate inspection/test results with appropriate staff or management.
- Assist with certain production functions as time permits, including creating name plates, verifying material, and preparing shipments that do not create a conflict of interest with Quality Control.
Salary: $25-$28/hour; flexible for a highly qualified candidate.
