This company is actively seeking a Protective Materials Trade Compliance Specialist in Greenville, NC (hybrid schedule) to play a critical role in global trade compliance with a strong focus on duty drawback optimization, offering both impact and career growth within a respected organization.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Protective Materials Trade Compliance Specialist position include:

  • Managing and optimizing the company’s duty drawback program, including claim preparation, submission, and tracking
  • Ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and drawback timelines
  • Interpreting and applying U.S. customs regulations, export controls (EAR, ITAR, OFAC), and trade laws
  • Reviewing and validating import/export documentation, product classifications (HTS, Schedule B, ECCN), and records
  • Analyzing import/export data to maximize duty recovery opportunities and financial outcomes
  • Collaborating with logistics, supply chain, procurement, finance, and legal teams on trade compliance matters
  • Serving as the subject matter expert for trade compliance questions and internal training initiatives
  • Supporting audits, record retention, and continuous improvement of global trade processes

Salary: $64,000 - $96,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
