A leading burial vault manufacturing company based in Akron, IN is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to take the reins of daily operations and help lead the team into its next phase of growth. This is an incredible opportunity for a hands-on, organized, and safety-conscious leader to manage a team of employees while also supporting a second plant once a week. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Plant Manager position include:
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing or concrete-related environment
- Experience in burial vault manufacturing or related concrete industries is highly preferred
- Strong operational and organizational leadership; must be comfortable running day-to-day operations
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership
- Valid driver's license required; must be willing to travel weekly to a second location in Gary, IN
- 100% on-site role; start time is 6:30 AM with some rotational Saturday work (every other or every third Saturday)
- Oversee plant safety, staff performance, scheduling, and daily production activities
- Work closely with current leadership to eventually step into a larger role as the business grows
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including 100% employer-paid health and vision insurance, life insurance, 401(k) with 4% company match, 7 days of PTO (increases to 2 weeks after 1 year), uniform provided, cell phone stipend, and company vehicle. Benefits begin after 90 days.
