This NPI Project Engineer opportunity in Fremont, CA offers the chance to lead new product introductions from concept through launch while working with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. Qualifications and responsibilities for this NPI Project Engineer position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience) – Lead new product introduction projects from planning and system setup through shipment and post-launch review.
  • 3+ years of experience in NPI, project engineering, manufacturing engineering, or similar roles – Develop and manage project plans including schedules, resources, and long-lead items.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machining, tooling, and fixturing – Define and validate part requirements, manufacturability, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements – Ensure compliance with customer and quality standards.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors – Manage outside processing (OSP), tooling, fixturing, and testing requirements.
  • Strong project management and risk assessment skills – Track project performance, manage changes, and mitigate risks.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and SolidWorks – Support project documentation, technical reviews, and engineering coordination.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills – Provide status updates to internal stakeholders and customers while driving continuous improvement.

Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
