Join a leading U.S.-based specialty chemical manufacturer located just outside Pittsburgh in Steubenville, Ohio, that plays a critical role in supplying high-performance materials for the defense, aerospace, automotive, and medical industries. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic, hands-on Manufacturing General Manager to step into a full-time, on-site leadership role at a niche processing facility with under 30 employees, where your impact will be direct and meaningful. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Manufacturing General Manager position include:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, or related field; 7–10+ years in manufacturing leadership with direct sales oversight
- Provide operational and financial leadership, with shared P&L accountability and full responsibility for cost control, capital planning, and margin improvement
- Oversee maintenance and facility operations, including mechanical systems, vendor contracts, and capital projects
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies (OSHA, EPA, RCRA), including safety, hazardous waste, and environmental monitoring
- Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams across operations, sales, maintenance, and administration
- Partner with production and executive teams to drive continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) and operational efficiency
- Collaborate on sales strategy and business development across both commercial and federal markets
- Be on-site full time with availability for emergency response and after-hours facility needs
Salary: $100,000 to $130,000 base with 20% annual performance bonus, commensurate with experience.
