A family-owned, long-established food manufacturer in the Rockaway Beach, NY area is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Manager to lead its facility maintenance operations. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Maintenance Manager position include:
- Experience in facilities and equipment maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley preferred) and electrical panel troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with VFD drives, mechanical systems, and preventative maintenance
- Leadership experience overseeing a maintenance team (4–6 mechanics)
- Ability to work alongside team members with a collaborative, low-ego approach
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus; must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to occasionally work overtime and weekends for preventive maintenance or seasonal needs
- Prior food industry experience is a plus, but not required
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with up to a 4% match. The company currently covers most of the premium costs. Vacation starts at two weeks with the opportunity to accrue more, and NYS sick leave offers up to ten days per year.
