A family-owned, long-established food manufacturer in the Rockaway Beach, NY area is seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Maintenance Manager to lead its facility maintenance operations. Qualifications & Responsibilities for this Manufacturing Maintenance Manager position include:
- Must have extensive experience managing manufacturing facility and equipment maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of PLC systems & programming (Allen-Bradley preferred), including troubleshooting support and process improvement capabilities
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues involving electrical panels, industrial controls, and automation components
- Hands-on knowledge of VFD drives, mechanical systems, and implementing effective preventive maintenance (PM) programs
- Proven leadership experience supervising a maintenance team of 4–6 mechanics/technicians, including coaching, scheduling, and accountability
- Ability to lead with a collaborative, low-ego management style, working alongside the team when needed to get results
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Bilingual Spanish is a plus)
- Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekends for planned PMs, seasonal needs, or equipment reliability support
- Prior food manufacturing experience is a plus
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with up to a 4% match. The company currently covers most of the premium costs. Vacation starts at two weeks with the opportunity to accrue more, and NYS sick leave offers up to ten days per year.
