We’re actively seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to join our leadership team and help expand operations across the Chicago region and surrounding areas. This is not your typical desk role—you’ll be the right-hand to the firm’s ownership, driving strategic growth, managing multi-disciplinary teams, mentoring staff, and engaging directly with clients. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Lead Civil Engineer position include:
- PE license and 7–15 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure, material testing, and construction management
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- Ability to lead engineering projects, including design-build and design-bid-build, across Illinois and neighboring states
- Mentor and manage internal staff, ensuring the quality of engineering deliverables including reports, plans, and specifications
- Oversee and interpret material testing data and support construction inspection services
- Engage in business development efforts, cultivate new client relationships, and contribute to the company's strategic goals
- Present technical content to clients and represent the company at conferences and workshops
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other civil engineering tools is a plus
Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
