We’re seeking a Job Captain – Corporate Interiors to take the reins on technical production and construction documentation within a firm that separates design from production. If you're passionate about construction drawings and enjoy leading junior team members while delivering precise, code-compliant documents, this is the role for you!
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Job Captain – Corporate Interiors position include:
- 6–10 years of experience in architecture or interior architecture focused on construction documentation
- Strong knowledge of Texas and Houston building codes
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (SketchUp a plus, but not required)
- Lead production of accurate, detailed construction documents for corporate interior projects
- Participate in construction administration including RFIs, submittal reviews, and site observations
- Liaison between architects and designers to ensure coordination and intent are maintained
- Mentor junior staff on drawing standards and production best practices
- Review drawings for compliance with ADA, codes, and project requirements
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including full health and dental insurance after a waiting period, vision coverage fully paid for the employee (spouse coverage available at employee cost), 401K with company match, PTO, and flexible core working hours (start time between 7:00 – 8:30 AM).
