Charlotte is buzzing with growth, and this expanding building products operation needs a hands-on leader who can balance day-to-day execution with smart business development. In this General Manager – Countertops & Building Materials opportunity in Charlotte, NC, you’ll work closely with ownership to build a high-performing team and strengthen relationships across the local construction market.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this General Manager – Countertops & Building Materials position include:
- Minimum 5 years of management experience within the building materials industry.
- Strong background in countertops, stone fabrication, cabinetry, millwork, flooring, windows, doors, lumber, kitchen & bath products, or similar construction-related building products.
- Experience serving builders, general contractors, developers, remodelers, kitchen & bath dealers, designers, and commercial construction customers (existing Charlotte relationships are a major plus).
- Lead, mentor, and develop approximately 10 employees across showroom, warehouse, operations, purchasing, and sales.
- Oversee inventory management, purchasing, vendor relationships, logistics, scheduling, customer service, and branch operations.
- Recruit, coach, and grow sales and operations teams while balancing operational leadership and business development.
- Improve operational processes and efficiencies to support continued growth.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP software (ODOO experience is a plus).
Salary: $80,000-$100,000+ base salary depending on experience.
Benefits: W-2 employment. Paid vacation begins after one year of employment and increases after the second year. The company does not currently offer medical or other traditional benefits, but ownership anticipates expanding the benefits package as the business continues to grow.
