This Estimator / Project Manager (Epoxy & Resinous Flooring) role is based in Madison, WI, offering the opportunity to work with a stable, union-affiliated company that manages projects ranging from $30K to over $1M while playing a key role in both estimating and overseeing awarded work.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Estimator / Project Manager (Epoxy & Resinous Flooring) position include:
- Experience estimating commercial flooring, epoxy coatings, resinous flooring, or commercial painting projects – reviewing plans and preparing accurate bids
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications while performing digital takeoffs
- Use of onscreen takeoff or similar estimating software to quantify materials and labor
- Manage awarded projects including coordination, scheduling, and oversight of union field crews
- Visit job sites as needed (approximately 10% field / 90% office) to review conditions and support project execution
- Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors
- Ability to manage projects ranging from $30K to $1M+ in commercial environments
- Comfortable working in an in-office role in the Madison area with occasional travel to local project sites
Salary: $65,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including 90% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance, 100% employer-paid short-term disability, three weeks of vacation after 90 days, paid holidays, a 401(k) with 5% company match, a somewhat flexible schedule, access to company trucks for job site visits, and a Christmas bonus typically ranging from $500 to $2,000.
