Description

A rapidly growing building restoration and historic preservation firm is seeking a fully remote Entry Level Architect or Engineer to join their team in a fully remote role with occasional team meetings and site visits. This tight-knit team of about seven professionals specializes in exterior restoration, façade inspections, and compliance work including Local Law 11 projects, offering an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on exposure and mentorship while working on real-world building challenges. If you’re interested in exterior building systems, site visits, and learning directly from experienced architects and engineers, this role provides a strong foundation for long-term growth into project management.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Entry Level Architect or Engineer position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Structural Engineering, or related field – Assist with exterior restoration and historic preservation design work.
  • Support Project Managers with drawings, documentation, and coordination tasks.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD – Prepare and modify CAD drawings for façade restoration and building envelope projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite – Organize project documentation, reports, and project notes.
  • Familiarity with Adobe software for document review and markups – Review drawings and assist with project documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction details – Help develop design solutions for exterior building conditions and repairs.
  • Comfortable performing site visits and working at heights – Conduct field observations on roofs, scaffolding, and building exteriors.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills – Assist with permitting processes, client coordination, and project note-taking.

Salary: $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
