Join our esteemed organization in Pflugerville, TX, as an Engineering Manager, where you will lead the new substation division. This role is critical for someone with a strong background in civil engineering and specific expertise in water/wastewater infrastructure. You will oversee a team of four project managers working on various capital improvement projects. This position combines strategic oversight with hands-on technical leadership, ideal for a candidate looking to influence and mentor within a growing sector of our company.
Qualifications and Responsibilities for this Engineering Manager Include:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required.
- 8-12 years of professional engineering experience, with a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Eligibility for reciprocity to obtain Texas PE license is mandatory before starting.
- Experience in overseeing water/wastewater substation projects, with a capacity to manage both high-profile projects and routine assignments.
- Initial duties focus on hands-on design work with a transition to more strategic oversight as the division grows.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and HEC-RAS is highly desirable.
- Key responsibilities include coordinating with other engineers, assisting in preparing cost proposals for new work, and overseeing comprehensive studies for project planning.
Salary: $93,000 - $145,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
