Qualifications and responsibilities for this Director of Engineering position include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- At least 10 years of embedded design experience, and 10+ years in engineering management
- Leadership of 50+ direct and indirect reports, including hiring, reviews, and team development
- Proven experience managing military and aerospace development programs with prime contractors (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed, Raytheon)
- Familiarity with military standards (MIL-STD-810, 461, 704, DO-160, DO-178, etc.)
- Deep technical understanding of embedded systems, including Intel/AMD CPUs, FPGAs, VPX, VME, switching power supplies
- Experience with embedded software concepts such as BIOS, RTOS (VxWorks, Linux), and driver development
- Skilled in managing cross-functional engineering projects from concept through production
Salary: $150,000 - $300,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
