We’re hiring a Construction Accounts Payable Specialist in San Francisco, CA, to join a respected underground utility construction firm known for its tight-knit team, long-standing reputation, and collaborative work culture. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the company president and play an essential role in managing financial operations as they transition the role from a key team member. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Construction Accounts Payable Specialist position include:
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a construction environment
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience processing accounts payable and handling union-related documentation
- Familiarity with construction contracts and union processes (already set up in the company’s system)
- Work closely with company leadership, including the president, on financial operations
- Review and manage payroll and contracts (not a main focus, but part of the role)
- Maintain organized records and support active project financials (3-4 projects at a time)
- Open to hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
