This Concrete Project Engineer position in Shelby Township, MI offers the chance to work with one of Michigan’s largest concrete contractors, supporting major MDOT and public works projects while joining a company with exceptional employee longevity and rapid advancement opportunities due to upcoming retirements. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Concrete Project Engineer position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience) – Support the planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction activities on heavy civil projects.
  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure, roadway, or public works projects – Assist with project startup, execution, and closeout processes.
  • Strong cost control and budgeting awareness – Help monitor project budgets and support cost management efforts.
  • Document management experience – Assist in managing change orders, pay estimates, and quantity reports.
  • Subcontractor and supplier coordination skills – Support management and coordination of subcontractors and vendors.
  • Problem-solving and project monitoring abilities – Track project progress and resolve issues quickly.
  • Communication and relationship-building skills – Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid, HCSS Heavy Job, Microsoft Project, or Microsoft Office (AGTEK a plus) – Utilize construction software to support project management tasks.

Salary: $75,000 - $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
