Step into a high-impact opportunity as a Commercial Estimator in Huntsville, AL, with a well-established general contractor known for delivering diverse commercial projects including schools, municipal buildings, and industrial facilities. This is a senior-level role where you’ll take ownership of projects up to $15M, working with a company built on integrity, quality, and long-standing client relationships—perfect for someone ready to lead bids independently and make an immediate impact.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Commercial Estimator position include:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Estimator; independently manage projects through bid day for projects up to $15M
- Strong subcontractor solicitation and relationship-building skills; recruit and manage subcontractor bids
- Experience estimating commercial projects (schools, municipal, industrial); prepare accurate and competitive estimates
- Proficiency with estimating software such as Precon Suite or similar (iSqFt preferred but flexible)
- Ability to manage multiple bids; expected to handle approximately one project per week
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; ensure detailed scope coverage and cost accuracy
- Comfortable working in-office with occasional local site visits; collaborate with internal teams and field staff
- Excellent communication skills; participate in client and internal meetings as needed
Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including employer-paid health insurance up to $500 per month, 401(k) with company match, one week of PTO after the first year of employment, and a 10% end-of-year profit-sharing bonus.
