Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Head Machinist & Programmer position include:
- 5-10+ years of CNC programming experience with 5-axis mills, 3-axis mills, and lathes (Mastercam experience is mandatory)
- Program all new parts using Mastercam with a focus on precision and efficiency
- Set up and lead the machining of complex aerospace components with tight tolerances
- Extensive experience in metal forming and milling, with a strong background in metal manufacturing processes.
- Manage daily machine shop operations and lead a team of machinists
- Collaborate with engineering teams on CAM programming and design adjustments
- Ensure quality control using precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers
- Oversee equipment maintenance and implement safety and workflow improvements
- Train and mentor team members on machining techniques, tooling, and safety protocols
Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
