Join a highly respected mechanical and plumbing contractor as a Chief Estimator - Plumbing in Pinellas Park, Florida, where you will play a key role in pricing large new construction and renovation projects across healthcare, education, municipal, commercial, and other complex institutional facilities. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Chief Estimator - Plumbing position include:
- 3-5+ years of estimating experience in commercial plumbing, mechanical, or construction contracting.
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, materials, methods, and installation practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as FastPIPE, plus Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for commercial plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, storm drainage, natural gas, and equipment connections.
- Prepare labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates and assemble complete bid proposals.
- Solicit and level vendor and subcontractor quotations, while identifying value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with project management and operations teams to ensure clear project handoff, scope alignment, and estimate accuracy.
Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
