We're seeking a Chief Building Engineer to manage operations across Class A office buildings in Fairport, NY 14450. This is a hands-on, leadership-level role perfect for someone with 5–10 years of building maintenance experience and a strong technical background in HVAC, RTUs, BMS systems, and general facilities operations. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Chief Building Engineer position include:
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance; office property experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of RTUs, gas reheats, BMS systems, heat exchangers, fire alarms, and chillers
- Manage daily operations of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across multiple buildings
- Coordinate and oversee on-site contractors, ensuring minimal disruption and high-quality service
- Perform and supervise routine and emergency maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing and electrical repairs
- Operate and maintain web-based BMS and ensure energy efficiency across systems
- Respond to tenant requests, including after-hours emergencies, in a timely and professional manner
- Assist property management with project bidding, contractor follow-ups, and progress monitoring
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
