Qualifications and responsibilities for this Buyer position include:
- BA/BS in a related field with 3-5 years of procurement/supply chain experience in a Lean manufacturing environment (7+ years in lieu of degree)
- Analyze material requirements using MRP and pull systems to support uninterrupted production flow
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Manage vendor relationships to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets
- Excellent communication and MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Negotiate price and delivery to reduce material cost and meet production demand
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Maintain inventory control using lean techniques such as Kanban and Just-In-Time planning
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
