We are seeking a Building Envelope Project Manager in Chicago, IL, who will play a key role in roofing and wall condition surveys, construction documentation, and project delivery. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Building Envelope Project Manager position include:
- Basic understanding of how buildings are constructed, including masonry, windows, roofing, and wall systems
- Willingness to learn and apply redline markups and construction specifications (1-hour assessment required)
- Perform site inspections and surveys of roofs, walls, and building exteriors to assess damage or deterioration
- Oversee entire project lifecycle from design and drafting to estimating and project supervision
- Collaborate with team members to prepare specifications and construction documents for bid
- Travel up to 50% of the time including occasional overnight stays (e.g., Green Bay)
- Self-starter attitude with a Monday 7 AM team meeting and flexible end-of-day expectations
- Comfortable working at heights; fear of heights is a disqualifier
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
