This company specializes in manufacturing small, high-precision parts using top-of-the-line Acme-Gridley machines and is experiencing a major increase in orders. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Acme-Gridley Set Up Operator position include:
- Proficiency in operating and setting up Acme-Gridley machines with 3- and 4-jaw chucks, tools, bushings, cams, and gears
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Use of measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure product accuracy
- Monitor and adjust machining operations including turning, knurling, grooving, and threading
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines to reduce downtime
- Load raw materials into machines and verify proper setup
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, especially with lathes or mills
- Familiarity with production-focused machining rather than custom fabrication
Salary: $26.00 - $27.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
