Description
Build your future with a mission-driven electrolytic magnesium technology program in the Salt Lake City area, where hands-on execution and real startup momentum matter every day. This Magnesium Production Plant Supervisor opportunity will help build, launch, and run a demonstration facility producing magnesium from seawater and brines.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Magnesium Production Plant Supervisor position include:
- 7+ years in chemical processing, metals, minerals, manufacturing, energy, or heavy industrial operations, including direct supervision of operators or shift teams.
- Demonstrated experience commissioning and starting up a new plant or process unit.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in the Salt Lake City area is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and engineering drawings/equipment specifications.
- Hands-on troubleshooting, process optimization, and production improvement experience.
- Strong industrial safety background, including hazardous-process leadership and working knowledge of applicable PSM/HAZOP/PHA, OSHA/EPA requirements, permit-to-work, and management of change.
- Lead operational readiness and day-to-day production, safety execution, quality, and controllable operating costs, while maintaining approved operating limits and stop-work authority.
- Recruit, train, and supervise plant operators and build reliable operating data through disciplined operating campaigns, procedures, and documentation.
Salary: $160,000 - $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
